foodie is a bi-monthly six-course food and wine tasting event based in New York City. Fifty passionate food and wine lovers come together in an elegant loft space to share a unique dining experience with friends or people with similar interests.

foodie was created by Joe DeSalazar, a passionate food and wine lover, based on a belief that a complete food and wine tasting experience in New York City was virtually unattainable. Wine tasting events and groups seem to be either lectures, very formal, or even a bit stuffy. Plus, there typically wasn't a focus on food. Restaurant tasting menus offered wine tastings that were paired with courses, but that often becomes so expensive that it's unattainable beyond a special occasion. Going to a restaurant and having a tasting experience with friends isn't typically an option either.

foodie fills this void by providing a fun, casual, affordable food and wine tasting event where people can sit with a group of friends, meet new people with similar interests, and have a high quality food and wine experience.
